Which Ordinarily Are Not Gaudy At All

I saw what looked like a mass of gaudy
apple blossoms, which ordinarily are not gaudy at all,
or white magnolia petals
under a small tree at the side walk.
But all it was,
was someone taking to a pile of snow
and trampling it around
until it made a circle almost,
resembling fallen blossoms.
